"This month, Capt. Red and Dr. Watson celebrate their second and fourth rezdays, just a few days apart, so they've resolved to split the difference and have a small joint celebration on the 25th.

The Captain suggested a theme of silly hats (incredible headgear being a famed speciality of New Babbage) and Doctor K. added that no such party is complete without some form of moustache-based celebration.

For the faint-hearted or fair-follicled, do not fear -- Be assured that such outgrowths are not compulsory."

And now i reflect on my two years on the grid...i with much chagrin share the first picture from orientation island wearing my noob skin and finding i couldn't figure out how to detatch the damn torch!

How Shocking! Miss Autopilotpatty's Poppy's Exhibit... i've been very happy living here..and 2 years on the grid went like that! Now...when i was shopping at the Palais recently i found myself wanting to change into Miss Kembri's gown i looked around frantically for a seemly place to change ....and i spied this strange door tucked into an alcove....

upon touching the door it opened into this most beautiful airlock...i rushed in just before the door closed behind me...and voila! a perfect place to secretly change into my gown....pesky things those small windows were, but in a pinch....i made do!

[she winks saucily and raises the cone again and goes on with her barking]

Marvel at the science at the back of the lock..what makes it do that?
Find the secret Cleanslate Airlock! touch it just right and you can walk in...door closes and you can spy on visitors and jump out and scare them for fun!....not that Capt. Red would do that!

The Waves of a Seabreeze

The Battle of New Babbage

The Second Life Steampunk City of New Babbage waged a war against the wily (and dear friend) Evil Genius Dr. Gelving Obolensky...the conflagration consisted of many boats, steamships, rafts, and submersibles even some Caledonian militia joined with the New Babbage Militia and the mele went splendidly as i viewed from my Hot Air Balloon (seen in forefront) all until i crashed and found myself on the bottom of the Vernian Sea! how did it end up? i don't know yet! still waiting for the military men wrangling out the pesky details!
As a side note: the Primgraph was there.....reporting on the battle, nibbling finger sandwiches and secretly lobbing cannonballs. Of course it was the Primgraph that reported first the start of this revolution.
