A kind & talented visitor, a Mr. Eddi Haskell, came to New Babbage & created this lovely slide show as an Homage to our city, and the great man Sir Charles Babbage...
My comment to him:
"What a lovely and fitting homage to our town!...but also to the great man Sir Charles Babbage. I also am thrilled that you *got* the idea that New Babbage is the living dream of "what if" and "how a British city might have looked in 1887 if Babbage's dream was realized" just splendid and inspiring! Thank you!"

Mr. Haskell is " a well known photographer in Second Life" and the handsome partner to the equally handsome Mr. Jago Constantine who was kind enough to use my Oneiroi Club & Reading Room in Armada Breakaway as a meeting place for his Book Club this past March! (i was honored and thrilled to be asked! and he left a tip! YAY! more Fripperies!)
'Science Fiction Saturday 14 Mar 09 Event Listing'
Discuss science fiction in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Got something to say about the book you're reading? Share your insights with us! You're welcome to come and just listen too!
We'll happily discuss sci fi books, television and movies ... but mostly books!
This week we're going on a field trip to The Oneirist Club & Reading Room in Armada, a sim based on China Mieville's The Scar, so it will be held here:

It's a steampunk-themed sim, so dress in Victorian-era clothes if you have them.
If you think you might come along, bring some thoughts on the last science fiction you read, what you're reading now, and what you want to read next!

I could not resist snagging this...it is such a romantic & beautiful picture! Quite brings to mind Capt. Jack Harkness and how i am sure he would love to meet these two fellows!

As handsome as those gentlemen are, you *did* offer them shirts, I hope. One wouldn't want them getting a chill. :)
[gasps and covers her mouth, eyes wide] i...i...umm [gulps]..my good manners went a begging, as i did NOT! and now i am mortified! those poor chilly gorgeous gents!
Oh thank you for the wonderful compliments on my first steampunk youtube effort. I just did another of the airport area which you can see here! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kh6Dpc4BxUYAlas, I myself am on the shy side, and would NEVER be caught naked in a public video, my hunky partner Jago Constantine is will on his way to becoming an international underwear and thong model. He has recorded his first fashion show effort here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHhVmuGyydcAnd Steampunk is most definitely cool! Jago leads a science fiction discussion group every Saturday at 2 PM and would love to have steampunk devotees attend!
Please see my post on these comments in my blog, http://eddihaskell.blogspot.com/2009/04/jago-and-i-have-some-fans.htmlI do hope Jago and I do not end up shocking those with Victorian era sensiblities!
